Fes-Signy is a festival held in the Senegalese town of Colobane Signy. Colobane Signy, still known as Colobane Saloum, was founded in the late 1800s. The town is located in central western Senegal in the Gossas department of the Fatick region. Its geographical position between the Sine, Saloum, Djolof and Baol is the origin of its name Signy. Its population, made up of Wolofs, Peulhs, Maures and Serer people, is estimated at nearly 47,000.
